Case Buttons Feel Stiff or Hard to Press? Here's the FixUpdated a month ago

Stiff buttons are a common — and normal — fit characteristic of new cases. Here's how to break them in.

Why New Cases Have Stiff Buttons

A snug fit around the buttons is intentional for protection, but it can feel stiff at first.

The Break-In Method

  1. Flex the case gently — apply gentle pressure around the button area to loosen the case slightly.
  2. Use a toothpick or thin tool to carefully press around the edges of the buttons, creating more give in the case material.
  3. Allow a break-in period — some cases loosen naturally after a few days of regular use.

When Buttons Stay Stiff

Double-check that the case is the correct model for your phone, as a wrong-fit case can cause button stiffness.
